Healthy Eating

At Tír na nÓg we are committed to providing a nutritionally balanced diet to help develop their health, growth and well being.

Fully trained Cook

We have a fully trained Cook who prepares and cooks every meal on site using fresh ingredients. Fruit/vegetables are always included in every snack and meal time. Salt, sugar and additives are kept to a bare minimum. Vegetarian options are available and fresh fruit/yoghurt is always available as an alternative to a pudding.

We encourage the children to drink water throughout the day. The children are offered milk at morning snack time and water with lunch and afternoon snack.

Special dietary requirements

All special dietary requirements are catered for and weaning programmes are followed in line with parent’s wishes and Health Authority Guidelines.

Excellent Food Safety Standards

We are very proud to have achieved a Grade 5-the highest accreditation possible-awarded by the Food Standards Agency.

Dishes we serve

All snacks/meals provided at Tír na nÓg are included in the fees.
